For the first time in its 13-year history, UCP’s Assistive Technology Exchange Network (ATEN) program, which recycles donated computers and distributes them free of charge to children with disabilities throughout Illinois, has delivered refurbished computers to children with disabilities in all 102 counties of the state. Coinciding with National Recycling Week, the accomplishment highlights the importance of protecting our natural resources via recycling. ‘Tis the season to make wishes come true! The 13th annual Holiday Gift Drive is underway. Each year we share the season’s promise with more than 2,500 children and adults with disabilities who rely on UCP ’s programs and services.
